Established on the Songsin campus in July 1987, the press strives to promote the educational objectives of the University, and its relegated tasks include the publication and distribution of philosophical and religious literature as a means of contributing to scholarly research in Korea. With its official registration as a publishing company in January 1989, it began to produce the Catholic Theology series. As of November 2003, the Catholic University of Korea Press had produced and distributed a total of 103 separate volumes, inclusive of the series and other reading materials.

The seasonal print "Catholic Theology and Thoughts" which the Catholic University of Korea Press has issued, started as a semiannual printing in 1989. It has issued up to the 45th edition (2003/Autumn) so far since it developed as a seasonal print from the 15th edition in 1995. It has issued dissertations of the Songsim Campus studies (Total 11 dissertations) since 1997. The Catholic University of Korea Press has issued up to 103 short prints so far.
