Liturgy Museum
The Catholic University Museum of The liturgy was established in May 1989 with two major objectives: to contribute to the scholarly task of exploring the historical mission of the Catholic Church in Korea, and to provide a valid and accurate understanding of the heritage of traditional Korean thought.
The museum possesses a prized collection of valuable artifacts from Korean folk culture and the Catholic Church in Korea, which are classified into type categorizations according to the historical era. The collection is open to students, faculty, and the general public alike, and the Museum's exhibitions not only offer opportunities for pleasurable viewing, but also provide essential data for academic research.
By continuously supplementing its over-expanding collection of both tangible and intangible cultural treasures, the museum strives to establish a rightful understanding of the Korean cultural legacy and to explore the historic roots of the Catholic Church in Korea. The museum takes special pride in its collection of Catholic ceremonial artifacts and articles of clothing gathered over generations
