Scholarship Principles and Practices

The length of a scholarship is equivalent to the period of the semester. College Scholarships are awarded at the beginning of each semester. Scholarships are offered after payment of a tuition.

Each awardee can receive just one kind of scholarship, except for the Daegun Scholarship, the Dean’s Special Scholarship, the Work Scholarship and the Foreign Language Scholarship. If an awardee quits or is expelled from the school, the scholarship of that semester can be cancelled.

Scholarships can be awarded to any students belonging to the following.

1) Undergraduate students, 2) Graduate students, 3) Other students recommended by the scholarship committee.

College Scholarships

Names of Scholarships Awardees Amounts
The Academic Excellence Entrance Scholaship The most excellent student in the General Entrance Admission 2/3 of the tuition (not including the entrance fee)
The most excellent student in Special Entrance Admission 1/3 of the tuition (not including the entrance fee)
The Academic Excellence Scholarship The most excellent student of the last semester 2/3 of the tuition
The second most excellent student 1/2 of the tuition
The third most excellent student 1/3 of the tuition
The Hasang Scholarship Less than 12 students in every semester A grade : 800,000 won B grade : 600,000 won
The Family Scholarship When more than two students in one family are enrolled in the college, the junior among them 1/2 of the tuition
The Daegun Scholarship Candidates for the priesthood recommended by the local ordinary. (junior, senior / graduate 2nd, 3rd) The Full amount of the tuition (not including the entrance fee)
The Yangup Scholarship Candidates for the priesthood recommended by the local ordinary (freshman, sophomore / graduate 1st)   The Full amount of the tuition (not including the entrance fee)
The Work Scholarship Students working in various parts of the school Depending on the hours of work
The Foreign Language Scholarship higher than TOEIC 900, TOEFL 100 1,000,000 won
higher than TOEIC 800, TOEFL 85 500,000 won
higher than TOEIC 750, TOEFL 80 200,000 won
The Mission Scholarship Foreign candidates for the priesthood Full amount of the tuition (including the entrance fee)
